Some good news…

Changes have been made to our Operations team

After surviving the most horrendous year due to COVID, I’m delighted to be able to announce that Linda Wathen has been promoted to Operations and Finance Coordinator.

Linda joined our team last February but within a month it felt as if the world had turned upside down – she must have wondered what she had let herself in for. The past year has been extremely difficult but 2021 has seen McGowan Transcriptions return to a pre-pandemic work-flow, which is great news for both our team and clients.

Linda is a joy to work with and one of the most teachable people I’ve ever met – hence her learning everything about our entire accounts system to ensure no twiddling of thumbs during the quiet lockdown months. I’m delighted to share the good news of her promotion – hopefully it won’t be long until we can come out of lockdown and celebrate over a glass of something bubbly in the sunshine!

“Well the past year has certainly not been what anyone had expected! I started 2020 out of my comfort zone looking for a new job and along came McGowan Transcriptions! Exactly 4 weeks after I started, the country went into the first full lockdown which was madness. It was a worrying time, especially when I was put on furlough, but I’m glad it was for only 7 weeks.

When I returned in June, Joe had done everything possible to ensure there was work for me to do, even if it was something that I wasn’t originally hired to do, but I was appreciative the work was there! It is probably down to this that I have learned SO much during my time at McGowan Transcriptions and have really broadened my skillset.

Being offered the role of Operations and Finance Coordinator is such a great step up within McGowan Transcriptions and I can’t wait to see what this will bring!”
