| McGowan Transcriptions recruits twice a year for
full time and part time/weekend experienced digital
transcriptionists. |
|
|
|
|
|

The projects we receive are varied and interesting
and we try to inject variation between each project for
each transcriber, so you shouldn't find yourself working
for an entire week on one subject. We only transcribe
for the Market Research industry and all of our transcription
work is conversational in the form of depth interviews,
paired depths, group discussions and workshops.

We offer a verbatim transcription service
to our clients, therefore it is essential that all transcribers
have excellent listening skills as well as fast typing
speeds; we require a minimum of 70+wpm. |

All applications must be submitted via e-mail
and you will be expected to transcribe a 30 minute test
recording which will enable us to measure your conversational
transcribing ability and grammar standard. You will receive
a full set of guidelines which will guide you through
our transcription requirements before starting the test.

All transcription software will be provided
for you so there will be no financial outlay on your part,
but you must have broadband to enable you to download
large digital files from our website. |

It is essential that you can achieve a 24
hour turnaround on a two hour group discussion with delivery
by 9am.
|

|

You must show proof of self employment and
will be required to sign a full and comprehensive confidentiality
agreement before commencing any projects for McGowan Transcriptions.

Unlike other transcription agencies we do
not sub contract work out, and therefore, do not allow
members of our team to transcribe for any other companies,
so working for McGowan Transcriptions would be your sole
source of income from transcription work |
