Do you have the capacity to transcribe my project?

We transcribe approximately 40 hours of recorded audio per day and have never yet had to turn a project down due to its size.

How long will it take to transcribe my project?

We will ensure we transcribe your recordings and reach your end deadline in time.  In 22 years we have never missed a client deadline.

What are your transcription turnaround times?

Our standard turnaround times for transcription are 48 hours for a project that is not scheduled in, but we can achieve 24 hour and same day turnarounds whenever required.

Do you charge extra for a 24 hour turnaround?

If we have space on the schedule we always aim for a 24 hour turnaround, regardless of whether the transcription project is booked in advance or not.  If the project is not scheduled in, and we have to pull a graveyard shift to achieve the deadline, then our 24 hour deadline charge comes in to play.

Can you transcribe into my template?

Yes, no problem at all.  The vast majority of clients are happy for our standard transcription template to be used as it is clear and concise, but sometimes summary transcripts are required in Excel and often it is requested that we transcribe directly into the discussion guide.

Can you sign a confidentiality agreement specific to my project?

Yes.  Each transcriber has already signed a comprehensive confidentiality agreement, but we are happy for every transcriber working on a project, and the Quality Control Team, to sign confidentiality agreements and NDAs wherever required.

How do I get the recordings to you?

We have a secure ScribeManager system which his faster than FTP and enables you to upload multiple files in one batch.  Once we have your email address we will set you up on the system and send you a link via email.  Once a transcription project has been confirmed via email or telephone you can start uploading within 2 minutes!

How do you deliver the transcripts back?

We deliver the vast majority of transcripts back via email.  If you prefer a higher level of security then we will upload the transcripts to our secure ScribeManager system for you to download.  Also, if you have a different system in place that you would prefer us to deliver the transcripts to, that is not a problem at all.

What formats can you transcribe?

We transcribe all digital recordings, the most common being: MP3, WAV, WMV, DSS.
We also transcribe these digital formats: ACT, AIFF, AMR, APE, AU, DCT, DS2, DSP, DVF, DVS, FLAC, M4A, MP2, MPC, MSV, OGG, QCP, SPX, VOC, VOX.
We also transcribe from these digital video formats:  3G2, 3GP, ASF, AVI, DivX, DV, FLV, M4V, MKV, MOV, MP4, MPEG, VOB.
We also transcribe from DVD, CD, standard cassette & micro cassette.

How will the project be charged?

We charge per recorded minute…we only charge for what is transcribed, not how long it takes us to transcribe.

What are your payment terms?

We require payment 14 days after invoice date, unless further credit is agreed up-front.  Please refer to our T&C’s page for full details.
For individuals we require payment up front via PayPal.
